I lost some channels last night after the storm. I looked at the guidance (wish I hadn’t) and switched off the box and I am no longer able to access any recording or anything else.
I have a sky+ box, only because my building is not compatible with Sky Q. My management company is charging £150 just to send an engineer and if the issue is the box then I will have to cover the cost of the call.
I need to work out if this an issue with the box or an issue with the communal aerial. Atm i am getting a message saying the box isn't getta satellite signal.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@NatB The issue will most likely be the dish rather than the box, unfortunately Sky no longer support Sky+ so you'll need to work with the local installer/management company.

Do your neighbours have the same issue?

No, the management company said i was the only one to be affected by the lost of signal.
I rang Sky and decided to swap to Sky stream. It doesn't need a satellite signal so won't need to pay for a TV enginer to come.
