sky remote and poor response from the sky box

when I press the remote ,normally I can go through the chaneels quickly,now the sky box is responding very slowly and sometimes not at all.

I have changed my batteries in the remote control,removed the sky card and put it back,my internet is working.

Have you restarted your Sky box,  by switching it off at the plug for 4 minutes?
