initially thought it was just the rc not working.
Changed batteries
Used rc from other telly
Found that wasn't working either
Came back to original telly to see messgae: "Unsupported signal. Check your device output."
Any ideas anyone?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreTry switching both your TV and your Sky box off at the plug for 4 minutes. Failing that you may need to consult your TV manual.
I'm assuming you have Sky+ (where you've posted) as you haven't posted otherwise.

That's a TV error message, not Sky. Try turning off your TV at the plug for 30 seconds or so,

Thanks for advice, but didn't work!
TV in kitchen is saying:
"Mode not supported
HDMI 1
Resolution not supported. Change the resolution9of the external device."
Anyonee got any ideas on how to resolve this, please?

Yes, it is SKY + that I have.
As both TVs have been affected, I was assuming SKY + as rhe common denominator.

OK, I'll try that....although its both TVs, so assumed Sky as common denominator. And yes, it is Sky + I have.
Thanks and I'll let you know either way!

Thanks to both people who replied - problem has been resolved! Think the Sky + box may be on the way out as this is the second problem in the past two weeks.
Thanks again and Happy New Year when it comes!

Nothing to reply to?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHow do you know the dish is ok because if it has moved ever so slightly it can cause issues with the signal. If you have also checked the cables then you will need to contact a local company to come out and look at it as Sky no longer do home visits for Sky+ boxes.

"No Satellite Signal" is an error generated by your Sky box, it has nothing to do with broadband (Internet connectivity) and usually indicates an issue with one or more of the following:
You may have to call out a local satellite installer, unless you have Sky Protect insurance, to check/fix your system, another option is to move to Sky Q, as during the move all issues will be resolved as part of the install, there is also the option of Sky Glass or Sky Stream, if you want to move away from satellite TV and use the Internet
