sky hd remote sound settings

Am trying to pair the sky hd remote rev10 to a new tv. Panasonic TX43LX660B. The remote works fine in all respects apart from the volume controls and mute. Have tried several brand codes but nothing seems to work for this tv. Any ideas please?

Have you tried obtaining a code for your model tv here: https://www.sky.com/help/program-your-remote

From memory I believe 0860 works for most Panny TVs.

Thanks. Have tried this the TV is not listed. All codes mentioned don't work. Have to end up using the tv remote to vary the sound levels

Thanks for the info. The remote works fine in all respects and therefore doesn't need reprogramming. It's just the volume controls that don't work. Unfortunately I haven't got the code for the TV the model isn't listed. Having to use the TV remote for sound which is a pain.

That's because it does need to be programmed with a code suitable for your TV.

If your TV is a new model, it's possible that no code has been associated with it yet. It's also possible that there's no code on the chip in the remote which is compatible with your TV.

The process described in @Annie+UK's FAQ enable you to try every code on the chip in your remote to see if there's one that works.

Have just bought a new tv Panasonic TX43LX660B. The sky remote Sky +HD rev 10 works fine in all respects apart from the volume controls and mute on the remote. All searches have produced various codes for the remote but none have produced a positive result. The usual.. press tv and then select and red together. The red light flashes twice when the tv button is pressed but not on the next sequence. Obviously we can continue to use the tv remote for the volume but this is a bit of a pain. Anyone any ideas please?

@ferncot are you trying to work through all the codes to see if you can find one that works, as previously suggested?

If so, I think you may have misunderstood,

After pressing Select and Red together, press TV, then power repeatedly (TV>Power>TV>Power etc) until the TV switches off. Then press Select to store that code.

Thanks for the info. Have tried your suggestions. Still no volume controls on the remote. Most puzzeling in that the remote works perfectly in all other respects.. Must be the Panasonic TV which is a pain in that we have to use the tv remote to alter the volume or mute controls. Anyone else any bright ideas please.

@ferncot if you've been through all the codes stored in the remote as described without success, you're out of luck, I'm afraid and will have to use the TV remote.
