We've had Sky plus for years. Our term came up for renewal last weekend. Predictably sky have been pressurising us to go over to Sky Q or stream. We have an old property with thick walls so we're told by someone (not sky) that would be a problem if having Q. While we've discussing this with Sky our services have stopped, no planner, sky sports or any other functions. She said the engineer can't come until the end of November and we can't have sky plus anymore. We felt backed into a corner and agreed to sign up for Q. Soon as we finished our call, our sky services are back up and running ! Is this something they do to push you into signing up??

What error message did you seen on screen? Did you still have access to the menus?

Sky subscriptions don't need renewing they are a rolling contract
Did you have a normal Sky+ box without HD? if so Sky will have canceled your subscription as you would have lost access to many SD channels

We had and still have HD services. I just find it strange that as soon as we agreed to sign up for Q, all our lost services were back on. If that's true, this is a shady practice.
