In any case Sky+ / Sky+ HD being legacy packages are no longer supported by Sky anyway.

You can still call Sky to discuss your options which will be upgrading to Sky Q (has about 4 year lifespan left) or moving to Glass / Steam to continue to view Sky content through a Sky subscription.

Ta

The other option is use a third party repairer to fix the Sky HD that went down *.  Still going to speak to Sky when I have a chance and ask why they apparently sent no warning.  Contractually they didn't have to, busness reputation wise they very much did.

* I've stuck with Sky HD for years as it lets me route RF around the house to view it in multiple rooms.

They told us that the old SD boxes wouldn't be supported but not the HD ones.

All SD boxes stopped receiving everything though: HD remains as a platform, but isn't restorable after individual equipment failure.
