I had sky dish instaled for sky plus few years ago. It was nothing done with it since i changed for sky q box. Can I connect it back to sky plus box with omitting the internet ?

No. When you switched to Sky Q, the LNB on the dish was changed to a Sky Q compatible one. Your Sky+ box wouldn't work without having it changed back.

Re: dish to sky plus box

How to change it back ? Is this changed automatically as soon as you connect the shy q box otherwise nobody was touching the dish ? If I change it is dish only enough to connect sky plus ?

For Sky Q the installer swapped out the old LNB on the dish for a new wideband LNB that is not compatible with non-Q boxes

To change back you would need to replace the Wideband LNB for either a Hybrid LNB (Does both Wide and narrow bands) or a narrow band LNB

Re: dish to sky plus box

I had no installer doing anything with the dish. I got the sky q box and I installed it myself. Sky q works on Internet only. Dish is as it was installed for sky plus. Can I connect sky plus to it and avoid Internet?

You are confusing me here 😞 Sky Q is the replacement Satellite service, Internet only is Sky Stream/Glass

Sky Q requires a wideband signal from the satellite for authentication purposes

Also I've never heard of a self install option for an upgrade to Sky Q from Sky+

That would suggest you have a Sky Stream Puck ... Sky Q is not available for self install🤔

If you connect a Sky+ HD or Sky HD box to your dish, and it works, you will only be able to receive FTA channels ... Sky no longer supply Sky TV subscriptions for Sky+ HD or Sky HD boxes😉

No. It's a satellite TV receiver and connects to a satellite dish.
