I've not seen a speech bubble so haven't been able to. It seems an inefficient system. They told me I need a new card so I just need one sent out without going through all the chat rigmarole again.

The chat bubble was sent to your twice as you can see from the posts above as the Sky messaging team posted on here when they sent it to you.
If you don't want to try again then you will have to call.
150 is the free number to use from a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk phone otherwise under "Need more help ?" link at the bottom of the page on this link is the number to call Sky on:
Say No when asked if you want a text or to go online then stay on the line.

@caesarome The impression I get is that the OP did converse with the chat team and the suggested solution was that they needed a new viewing card. As it wasn't a convenient time to be without TV (as the existing card would be immediately canceled) they opted to wait until a more convenient time, which for them is now.
As you say, they will still need to contact Sky again in order to activate that.
I'm struggling to see, though, how a new card will fix the issue as surely it's just an account discrepancy somewhere.
