WiFi connection

I'm trying to connect my Sky+ box to the WiFi but my box is on a neverending search for a local network and then it gives up and goes back to the programme.

Has it connected before? Does your Sky box have a WPS button on the front panel?

If it doesn't have a WPS button, the box isn't wifi capable. You would need an additional Mini Connector. or an ethernet cable connection.

@meg1265

Mini Wireless Connector boxes are available in eBay for a few pounds: Sky hasn't stocked them for a decade (and won't offer any help)

You'd need to choose the ethernet version if your Sky+ box has an ethernet port, otherwise it's the USB version.

Note that previous advice about buying a late-model second hand Sky+ HD box with built-in WiFi no longer applies as it's not possible to pair a Viewing Card.
