@Stonewaller  Without a viewing card the ITV channel defaults to London normally, a valifd viewing card would stell the box which postcode area you are in and assign to the correct region for news.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

well this one defaults to central although thats neither here nor there unless I move lol 🙂   So what card can I get to enable me to see the news without subscribing to anything as the free to air channels are more than enough

Sky no longer provides Viewing Cards for Sky+ boxes, I'm afraid, unless it's a replacement where a customer has an existing Sky subscription.

A standard Freesat box might be a better option.

@Stonewaller

As @Mark39 indicates, a Freesat receiver would let you input your postcode to get the appropriate regional television variations: where a Sky+ box is in use without an associated Sky subscription there's no mechanism to achieve the same result.

hi @Stonewaller

It is a very long time since I had a SKY HD box & I don't know what functionality it has without a card.

You might be able to manually tune your local region - although it may not appear in any TV Guide listings.

One thing when manually tuning ITV regions do not show which region just get listed as ITV so it can be a bit laborious to get the one you might be interest in
