Very old Sky box

Hi,

We have a VERY old Sky box from when TV in our area went digital and we had a Sky satellite dish installed. We have never subscribed to Sky TV services and although the card was upgraded once, the Sky box is the original one we had. The user manual has a date of 2006. With BBC changing to HD only on 8th January, we won't be able to watch HD channels through the Sky box from that date. How can I get a box upgrade without buying a Sky subscription? Thanks

From Sky the answer is you can't as you need to be subscribing to their pay packaages to be able to be upgraded to Sky Q.

Best option for you is to look on the likes of ebay for a 2nd hand Sky+HD box as these are no longer made as new.
