UFC - Why does record series not work?

One of many longstanding frustrations, when I record UFC on BT Sport 1 or 2 (on Sky) it offers "record series" option, which I select EVERY time, and it NEVER works! every week I have to find the next show again and record. Funnily enough, it works for UFC Fight Night PRELIMS, but not the UFC Fight Night MAIN EVENT. Anyone else notice this, any solutions?

@SkySpiesOnUsers BT Sport are responsible for providing the series linking data for Sky's EPG, so you could contact them too.
