Skybox is not connected to the broadband router

 Hi all,

 

I'm having an issue with my Skybox Q.

 

 

It hasn't been used in about 6 months and now that I've gone back to it, I get the message "your Sky box is not connected to the broadband router". 

I've tried resetting the router and skybox, just the skybox itself and no luck. The router is Sky business so not directly compatible. 

Anyone have any ideas before I bother a technician to come out. Ive attached a photo of the message and the skybox.

That isn't a Sky Q box, it is a Sky HD multiroom box so your post will get moved.

 

It doesn't have WiFi as far as I remember, nor any apps that would benefit from a connection, just on demand content that would require an Ethernet connection a satellite connection and a valid subscription.

 

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

Sky no longer support Sky+ / Sky+HD so they won't dispatch an engineer.

@DanielSet the box isn't On Demand capable either, as it has no hard disk. I can't see any point in a broadband connection.
