Dont know the ins and outs of skys network but taking it as a tech thing. Computer network is so simple to push out a sync times.
Dont care what the fair is just want it fixed
I think they're pushing the correct time (as older Sky+ and new Q boxes are correct), plus the Sky+HD boxes are exactly one out. Makes sense as most computer systems deal with UTC and then apply offsets for timezones and daylight savings time rules. Certainly all the NTP servers which provide reference times used by the majority of the internet work that way.
It looks like something is wrong with the way the box calculates the end of British Summer Time, so Sky will be working on a fix for that. If it requires a box update, that may take a little longer, given that development teams don't normally work at weekends.

I suspect the support team know more about what is required to fix it than you do!
It's not a big deal. It doesn't affect recordings, so no need to worry about how long it takes to put it right.

Sky just as incompetent as Amazon!
Everything looks fine to the untrained eye. Spot the mantra... "aren't we wonderful!" But look closer... the veil lifts to reveal massive over-arching greed, discord, corruption, chaos and... incompetence.
Both owned by sinister billionaire narcissists = corporate narcissism writ large, twice over.
Is Brian L Roberts a sinister billionaire narcissist?

I'm not saying they don't and not saying I do!
I merely said from a computer network aside of things, pushing a sync date and time isn't difficult.
If it does bother folk then it bothers folk.
Already said it doesn't appear to affect recordings etc.

It does affect the recording because all the times are wrong on the planner

Are they pushing a SkyQ upgrade? I'm happy with my HD+ thanks (apart from the time thing obviously 🙄)

My SkyGo is unaffected. Sky+ Box an hour out...

How come sky cant even do something as simple as change the time, and we have to pay for their services and the cant do something simple. Makes me laugh that I can change the time on everything I have except my sky box, is it time to switch to virgin or any other provider, I know I might b over reacting but come on sky how hard is it to go into yours settings and change the time by 1 hour?
Also it's not as tho they didnt know the clocks change twice a year so how can this be a problem?
31 Oct 2021 12:17 PM
The problem has only existed since 2 a.m. this morning.
So sky could only been aware of it for 10 hours. Or is that 11? Or as the clocks went back to 1am at 2am, and my HD+ Box is currently saying 1pm, it could be 12 hours...

@Soops28 I know what you mean. What prices they are asking for an upgrade to Q.
looked at it a few times, appears they're not bothered about customers that have been them with them for years.
even tried the we are leaving and seeing what they do to try and keep the custom.
Thought about leaving and signing up again but with other half's details as it appears they are more bothered with new ones over ones they've had for years.

The times are wrong on the planner so setting a recording for 12.30pm (our time) will see it record then because the box is one hour forward - give a try and see what happens. Your recording will start at the correct time no matter what time the box is showing.

@Beanpie As I've been told by another user posting on my comment.
Apparently the sky team no more about the network than you do! So as it's been affected now for hours. Then it can't be a simple thing a time change (I have my doubts on this though)
