Sky remote not responding

No signal came up on my TV. I switched of and waited l switched back on Now all l have is Sky news.

I have changed batteries still get a red light on the remote. 

Not happy one bit now missing England game. I'm being charged for a service l can't use

@Martincole what error message do you see when you try to change channel? Use the physical buttons on th box, if necessary

@Martincole  Also Sky+, where you have posted, is a legacy system and is no longer supported by Sky, if the remote has failed you can purchase a replacement online or most electronic stores.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
