Sky recording stops too early i.e. before programme ends .

I watch the golf channel (405) and record golf .The recording often finishes before the golf competition has finished.Today was the . Scottish Open and the recording stopped about 10 minutes before the competition finished. This is most annoying.I have tried to extend recordings by the maximum but this doesn't help .

PLEASE ASSIST.

Re: Sky recording stops too early i.e. before programme ends .

Hi, the professional world golf competitions normally last for 4 days with the climax on the last day, which has regularly had the critical final stages missing! Its hopeless and sooo…  frustrating to watch the recording and have the climax cut off.

so 1) you cannot record or see a later event, as it has finished.

2) you cannot know in advance how much recording time to add on to cover the event timings – but Sky knows at the time of broadcasting.

3) The auto add on one hour is not available in auto recording mode only manual recordings which defeats the object over four days.

The solution is for Sky to allow the recordings to continue to the end of the event, or, at least an option to add one hour or more time to the end of that session recording.

It's always been advisable to record the programme following when recording live sport for this very reason.

Sky has publicly stated there won't be any updates made to the Sky+ HD platform: it's an end-of-life product.
