I received a letter Monday to say sky p;lus box wont be up dated etc, ironically my box has now started to turn it's self off??????? I have numerous films i have paid to keep on there how do i get theses back or do i get a refund for them , we can't have sky q due to community aerial, been with them for 20 years but thinking now this has happened i will cancel and go somewhere else

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf your films are Buy and Keep ones then no matter what happens to the box they are safe as they will remain on your account so should go change to Sky Stream or Glass then you will still have access to them.

Can you clarify what you mean? Are these films you've bought via the Sky Store?
Just to add: there haven't software updates to Sky+ boxes for several years, so that in itself is not a reason for them to stop working. That doesn't, of course, discount the possibility of other faults, which are increasingly likely, given the age of your Sky box. Sky Stream might be an option for you if you're unable to upgrade to Sky Q.
