So glad I'm not the only one! Catfish is literally driving me insane! I hope they do fix the issue, I won't be series linking any future seasons of it just incase lol

I know, that's my dilemma too as ordinarily I'd be series linking the next season when it arrives but this has left me terrified to risk it! 😁

After persistant deleting of Catfish recording my Sky box seems to have finally gotten rid of the curse of Catfish. None over the Christmas break.

So I've been experiencing this same problem with Catfish, where it constantly records despite me deleting any trace of it from my Sky Box! I spoke to a Sky Customer Service Assistant today on Messenger to try and get to the bottom of this problem.
Firstly, the advisor I spoke to, Simon, said that Sky had had no reported problem of this. I copied a link to this whole forum to show that this issue was affecting a lot of their customers and also copied the message from MissJo, from the Sky advisor they spoke to on Twitter.
After a lot of going around in circles, Simon finally said that he cannot guarantee that this problem would be fixed with a software update - he couldn't even advise when the next update was due, or even when the last one had taken place. His best guess was that the issue is with the hard drive disk of our devices being corrupted and the only way to resolve this would be trying a complete factory reset (which would wipe out all of your recordings, so if you do do this, then do it at your own peril!) or by getting a brand new box, which you'd have to pay for.
So, in conclusion, looks like we're all going to have to become big fans of Catfish!!!

If we all had boxes from the same batch or it was across different programmes then Simon may have a point but it's Catfish season 7.
I dont have any problems with any other programmes coming back from the dead when ghe series link is cancelled.
My altervative theory is that the recordings have a secret message contained within them and they are waiting for someone to crack the code. 😆

Catfish is officially haunting me! Short of disconnecting my box and throwing it clean out the window, has anyone been told when this fix will go in, honestly sick of seeing the word CATFISH on my planner now 😩

No idea! We keep getting conflicting advice so either the Twitter people were lying to me or the various Sky help people don't communicate with each other.
It's like an annoying visitor who refuses to leave!

Hi there,
Our tech teams have looked into this and isolated the issue to a bug in the current Sky+ HD R022 software.
A fix has now been found and it will be implemented in the next software release R023 going live in spring 2020.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
