Can you confirm this is a Sky+ box, where you've posted?

Re: Sky keeps crashing, will not record
I've not come across this combination of issues on a Sky+ box before. Can you help with some more details?
1. If you go your Planner, highlight a failed recording and press i on your remote, what exactly is the error message shown on screen at the end of the programme synopsis?
2. What happens when the box crashes after changing channel? Does it switch off (power light changes to amber/red)? Or restart? Or just a black screen with no sound?
3. What's happening when you first bring the box out of standby? Does the power LED change instantly to green? Any message on screen? Can you hear the hard disk spin up?
Meanwhile you could try rebuilding your Planner by keying Services,0,0,1,Select on your remote and selecting Planner Rebuild from the Installer Menu. Does it complete ok? Any error message?
