As we are fellow customers here we reply when we can which isn't necessarily immediately. Expecting an immediate response is unrealistic.
Is your broadband with TalkTalk by any chance?

Re: Failed download of programmes
Julie, we're all in the same boat here - unable to download from Catch Up etc but broadband working ok. We've contacted Sky, Talktalk and tried to sort it out on here but what's a fix for one doesn't work for the rest. We're awaiting some sort of acknowledgement from whoever is responsible but my patience is running thin.....

Re: David Basnett
@SalfordDavid I've added your post to an existing thread on the same subject. I assume your ISP is TalkTalk? See the post marked as Answer for a workaround.

Re: Failed download of programmes
Mark, your post prompted me to go to Network for the umpteenth and final time, one last throw of the dice - on a whim I changed the DNS numbers from 1.0.0.1 to 1.1.1.1 and saved the change........ Woohoo!!! Got everything back!!! Downloading stuff I won't even watch just because I can 😄. Let's see how long this lasts 🙏🤞

Re: Failed download of programmes
@Patski See it works when you get it right 🙂 You must have entered a wrong number before 😞

Re: Failed download of programmes
Annie, I've PM'd you and realise that of the two numbers you provided earlier, I'd keyed in the one that didn't work for me 🙄. Whenever there is a 50-50 chance, I'll pick the wrong one, but thank you!

Re: Sky catchup unusable
Massive thanks to oj01 and Annie+UK for resolving our issue.
No ability to watch Castch Up or Download. All existing downloads and current TV content fine and obvs all other devices working fine on Broadband and wifi connection.
We are in south England and in the Sky+ box and TalkTalk broadband boat.
Sky's "Help" pages were hopelessly circular - a bubble where issues don't exist or are not Sky related!
But the combo of the pre-set 79.79.79.79 you mention and the suggestion to swap that to 1.1.1.1 has done the trick this afternoon.
Thank you
