Sky box slow to start + can not link new tv

Hi

Just tripped on a cable and broke my Samsung 19" tv in the bedroom - replaced it with a Bush 19" HD LED BUT can not get Sky remote [for HD+] to allow use of volume and Standby  functions for TV [it did on the Samsung I broke!]  Does anyone know how to do it and if allowed.  Tried everything in [very old] guide book - light does double blink to alert set up is OK - but tv volume not working on Sky remote!

Also,

Since installing new Bush 19" TV, Sky remote takes up to 5 seconds to first display [listing + planner, etc.].  Tried re-booting - nbg.  Any clues appreciated

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

Have you programmed your Sky remote with the correct code for your new Bush TV?

Re: Sky box slow to start + can not link new tv

Hi

Despite reply, decided to give up - life's too short.

Bought a new remote and 1st display [TV Guide] now shows after 1 second not 5, so progress, at least.

As for the tv link, the model [Bush VM19HDLED] is not even in the list so assume no code is yet available.  Tried many others - set up OK but no link to TV volume, etc.

Moving on .........

Best wishes to all
