Sky+ box not functioning correctly
Good day, hope someone can help. Last Saturday my box stopped working, stating a message on tv screen that it was 'UPDATING SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS ' Do not unplug from the mains or switch off. This should take up to 10 mins.'
This continued to be the case until Sunday. Now, the blue screen has returned however, continually changing channel with no prompt. Remote also no longer connecting/functioning. Has anyone got any ideas as I cannot get to speak to someone. Thank you

Sounds like time to upgrade
Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy/obsolete service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Glass, and/or Sky Stream.
Satellite TV is on its last legs and is being replaced due to the lack of any new satellites being launched to replace the existing ones that are at the end of their service

@PTB23 never seen that error before and I suspect @Annie+UK is right. You could try a 'front panel reset' as a last resort. If it works, it will delete your recordings but you've little to lose at this point.
To carry out a front panel reset, turn the box off at the plug. After 4 minutes, press and hold the left and right buttons on top of the box, while switching the box on again at the plug (you might need three hands for this!). Keep the buttons pressed for 60 seconds, or until you see lights on the front panel illuminate. Then press Select on the top of the box twice.
