Re: Sky + box fail
I'm not sure what there is to take any further. Are these Sky+HD boxes or the older non-HD Sky+ boxes?

Re: Sky + box fail
If all three are shows a no satellite signal message then as advised due to Sky no longer supporting these boxes you will have to engage a local company to come out and look at this for you.

Re: Sky + box fail
@Frustrated2307 That is correct as those are legacy boxes and have not been made since at least 2016 when Sky Q was launched.
As advised you'll need to call alocal sayallite installer to remedy the No Satellite signal issue.

That's correct. Sky no longer support Sky+ and Sky+HD so won't send an engineer. If you have Sky Protest through Domestic and General Insurance you can call them otherwise you'll need to employ a local satellite engineer at your own expense (or upgrade to Sky Q or change to Glass / Stream).

Re: Sky + box fail
In my opinion sky are forcing customers to move to sky Q up until the beginning of June I had no issues with any of my boxes and all has been fine for over 26 years of custom.
what I will have an issue with is Q as my internet is very poor , smart meters will not work .
furthermore first appointment offered to install sky Q 16/7
is thst customer service
rip of Britain might be interested

That'ts correct. It's legacy equipment which Sly are no longer supporting. From your description, this is not the result of problems with your Sky boxes, but more likely with your dish setup. You would need to engage a local satellite installer to take a look at it for you. Or upgrade to Sky Q, and any dishes will be sorted out at no additional cost, as part of the Q installation..

There's nothing Sky could do, even if they wanted to, to create a fault with your dish.

Re: Sky + box fail
I doubt any consumer programme would be interested in Sky no longer supporting a system that hasn't been manufactured for 8 years and new Sky+ / HD subscriptions are no longer available.

Re: Sky + box fail
@Frustrated2307 It's been well publicised that Sky were stopping support for Sky+/Sky+HD boxes, not sure what rip off britain can do as you're not actually being ripped off. You've likely had the boxes for nigh on 18+ years.
You don't have to change to Sky Q if you don't want to, you just won't get support for Sky+ boxes.
You can't expect old equipment to be supported indefinately, no provider does that.

Perhaps I could mention that it is not too different from the move from SKY analogue to SKY digital
(I have not looked up how long SKY analogue was around but it was far less than SKY Digital has been)
That change required a change of box and dish - SKY Analogue was broadcast from Astra 1 at 19E rather than Astra 2 at 28.2E (where it now is)
Technology moves on & eventually older Tech becomes unsupported
