Sky Plus box still initializing after a few hours

Over three weeks Ive had two engineers out from sky. Picture was pixilating and also giving no sat signal message. First engineer unplugged one lead at the back and all seemed ok. Then this weekend more pixillation and sat connection problem as well as no available bio on any of the programmes. Tv was watcheable as was the planner. Second engineer out today checked signal to sat and leads etc and said all was fine. I switched tv off to go out and on return totally nothing is working. Message is about sat sig on mini tv and also that the box is still initalising ( has been now for 12 hours or so)

Is there anything I can do with this . Dont want to lose all my recordings on Planner either. Advice please.

The,usual reason for a Sky box to be stuck on initialising is that it's not receiving a satellite signal from your dish. Given the history, it looks like you have an intermittent signal issue which the engineers haven't yet got to the bottom of. Or less likely a fault with your Sky box.

Probably best to wait for the engineer on Wednesday. Let them know about the history of what has happened so far.
