Since the clocks went forward an hour, all my recordings are showing the wrong time, ie, something recorded at 9.00pm is showing as being recorded at 8.00pm. Even programmes recorded before Sunday have "gone back" an hour. The same thing happened in 2021, I think when the clocks went back. Are Sky aware of this problem and, if so, when are they going to fix it?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs @caesarome says, this has happened every year for a number of years now. IIt will show the wrong time until October.
As Sky+ is no longer under development and the issue has no (or little) baring on the functionality of the box, it won't be fixed.

To fix this you have to delete ALL your Series links and re-add them

This did not happen in 2022. The fact that Sky+ is no longer in development is a side issue. I am paying quite a large sum to Sky each month, as I have for about 20 years, and it does not seem right that nobody is concerned about fixing this. I know it does not affect the recordings, but it is really annoying nonetheless. There must be thousands of people with the same issue, and Sky are so wrong to treat us all as second-class subscribers!

Sky+ is a legacy system if you are unhappy with it you can upgrade to a non-legacy system (Sky Q, Sky Glass etc...), I'm sure Sky will be glad to get another customer off of Sky+
BTW there are millions with the issue but only a tiny fraction come to the forums to complain

Why should I switch to SkyQ and lose all my recordings because Sky are not interested in Sky+ customers? If there are millions affected, as you say, all the more reason for Sky to fix this. Also, it definitely did NOT happen to me in 2022 each time the clocks changed. Sky+ customers are paying customers, whether the system is a "legacy" one or not.

@Glenny Here's one of the many posts from 2022 detailing the same issue

I have Sky+ and don't want to move to Sky Q but times change and eventually we will all have no choice

Totally agree, there will come a point when even Q is unsupported and everyone will have to move to stream eventually

You'll lose your recordings at the drop of a hat when the hard disk fails, as they all do. Better switch in a planned way so that you can manage your recordings.
There's no reason for Sky to prioritise time fixing this (especially when it's cosmetic only) on a legacy system.

Posted by a Sky employeeHi @Glenny,
The issue we had with the Sky + clocks that happened in 2021 was off the scale and thinking back is hard to believe that happened 2 years ago... I can reassure there hasn't been a widespread issue since then and I haven't seen any other reports of time discrepancies apart from your post.

I also wanted to reassure as much as Sky + has become a 'legacy' Sky product, we'll always look to resolve any issues you have but like any piece of equipment there does come a time when the lifecycle will end - but the time being off isn't the end of your box 🙂
Can I check your box is connected to the internet, I'd also recommend checking your software is up to date:

Can I check your box is connected to the internet, I'd also recommend checking your software is up to date:
- Press the standby button on the top of your Sky remote.
- Switch off and unplug your Sky box and any other connected devices, like your TV, at the mains.
- Press and hold the backup button on your Sky box.
- Whilst holding the backup button, switch your Sky box back on at the mains.
- Continue to hold the backup button down for up to 30 seconds, or until you see all four lights on the front panel of the box flash on. Then you can release.
- Your box is now in download mode. It will take between 5-10 minutes to download the software. Do not turn off your Sky box or try to watch Sky TV during this time.
@Chloe-W22 We're in danger of confusing two different issues here. The one in (I think) Oct 2021 when the actual time on the box didn't change with the clocks going back, which did create recording problems and was fixed with an update fairly quickly.
This one is the one that happens every March (for the last few years at least) where the 'Recorded Time' on recordings shows as an hour out on both existing and new recordings until it corrects itself in October.

Totally agree, it makes the most sense, so don't stand still to long or you will find no alternative route Suddenly.
