Last week, my Sky+ box started reporting an "issue with broadband connection".
At the same thing the other device plugged into the Sky Hub ethernet ports (a Tp-link wifi router) started having severe, intermittent connection issues. I believe there may be a fault with the ethernet ports. There is no problem with the Wifi.
Looking at the lights on the ethernet ports itself, each connected port has a steady amber light and a flashing green one. Is this as expected? Shouldn't the amber one be blinking if data is being transferred?

What model of tp link router do you have?

thanks @cookiemonsteruk . So it looks like the ports believe data is going back and forth, but according the Sky+ box there is an issue.
In the Network Settings of the Sky+ box it is also all reported OK.
What could be preventing the Sky Hub and Sky + box from communicating?

Not too sure. If the tp is set to wifi router that introduces double nat. Also if sky q is anything to go by it may have a preference to a direct ethernet connection to be hub. I will transfer to sky+ hd forum as i believe its the lan connection between sky + hd and the tp

thanks, @cookiemonsteruk
I think there may have been a misunderstanding, The Sky+ box is connected via ethernet to the Sky Hub. NOT the TPLink. The TP Link is completely off the network now.
