April 2023 - Can I still get a £10 per month subscription to Sky to let me use my old Sky HD box as a recorder at a holiday home?

This is not true. The free to air service from Sky is still running. I have the number you call and people claiming to be from ''Sky'' actually answer the phone.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSky+ (HD) is an end of life platform: it's not in the interest of Sky to sell people new additional services for it.
The current equivalent is 'Television Essentials', which is Freesat reception with local recording and playback, plus app hosting, on a loaned Sky Q box.
