Sky + HD box pause, record and playback problem - 'not available'

Following a phone call to Sky and the renewal of my very long-standing existing contract, my skybox has suddenly stopped recording or allowing me to pause programs or even view my existing recordings.

 

Obviously someone at Sky has logged into the master computer to reflect my new contract which has, in turn, sent some sort of signal to my skybox causing this problem.

 

A phone call to the Technical people resulted in them sending more signals to my box but to no avail.

 

Does anybody have another suggestion as how I can reclaim these features on my Sky box?

 

Would be very grateful for any assistance.

@Snark1 Did the new contract include agreeing to switch to Sky Q or Sky Stream at all?

no – everybody is frantically trying to persuade me to but I am refusing as I want to keep the independence of having separate boxes and, most importantly, all my recordings.

 

Accordingly, a categorically stated I did not want any change to my existing old Sky HD plus boxes– irrespective of whether they could offer me Support or any of the other incentives they tried to get me to switch over…
