Sky+HD box and router

Can a Sky+HD box and router no longer used and left at my house by an engineer be recycled? If so how?

@Philippa7 yes, you can recycle both, but check that the router wasn't loaned to you, as Sky might ask for it to be returned. Your Sky+HD box definitely wasn't loaned to you, so can be recycled freely.

The router was left with the Sky HD Box when I changed to Sky Q and he replaced the router

Could that mean that Sky didn't want it back?
