Sky+HD box Frozen

My Sky+HD box has frozen and does not respond to the remote. I have tried the online help using the backup button but no lights appear and box still frozen/dead. Have no managed to contact anyone (person) at sky to resolve. Any help / advice welcomed

Try leaving the box off at the plug for 5 minutes or so, before restarting by pressing and holding the backup button (on the box, not the remote), while switching on again at the plug. Keep it pressed until the lights on the front panel flash.

I'm afraid the box has expired, then, and will need replacing.  There are no new Sky+HD boxes, but you can buy a used replacement from ebay etc.  Look for a DRX890 or DRX895 model. Or you could upgrade to Sky Q or Stream.

All recording are eventually lost ... unless transferred .... and transferred ... and ever retransfered😉
