Try a Planner Rebuild, this will reboot the box

Check your signal strengths - Services> Settings> Signal.  The white part of all 4 bars should be at least half way across.

Equal c90% on both for quality.

Told by Sky that my device no longer recieves software updates. Will that fix still work?

Planner rebuild has nothng to do with the software on the box 🙂

Sky no longer support Sky+ HD boxes ... so that's their standard answer to almost any question about Sky+ HD issues😟
