Just spotted this on another thread:
"Just received the following response from Sky Customer Service:
I understand from your email that you are unhappy with the previous response as the troubleshooting steps did not resolve the issue with regards to your On Demand download issue. I apologise for the inconvenience caused.
I wish to inform you that currently we are facing an issue with the download option with the On Demand service and our Support Team are currently working to get this resolved at the earliest.
Hence, request you to wait until the issue has been resolved and the service back on.
I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter."

Was useful reading through all these threads, knowing I'm not alone!! However the last message was a few days ago (14th Dec 21 I think) and I'm still having the problem despite doing all the things mentioned above 😞 Any updates from anyone? Thanks

Hi Annie, I'm with EE and having the same problem with failed downloads. Is the workarounds you suggest such as changing server specific to the customers with BT broadband or can I try it also?

I didn't know ee was part of BT, thank you. Is this why I could be experiencing the same failed downloads That BT Broadband customers are experiencing?
I'll definitely give it a try when I get home!

I've been in touch with Sky following another issue and was having the same problem with the downloads. I mentioned it to them and they sent me the following email as a workaround. I tried it and it does work for me. I hope it works for other people as well.
FROM SKY: There is a known issue being investigated and our technology contact has come back with the following advice:
Temporary Workaround:
Sky Q customers can change the DNS server setting on their Sky Q box to 8.8.8.8 to workaround this issue, if this does not resolve the issue customers can also try changing the DNS to 1.1.1.1
To do this you need to follow this path on your Sky Q boxes: Settings > Setup > Network > Advanced settings > Set manually > DNS server.
Please change the DNS server on all Sky Q boxes within your home. Restart your Sky Q boxes from the power socket after changing the DNS settings.

Yep, that's as posted earlier in the thread.

So the 'temporary workaround' posted this afternoon 22 Dec, was for those with Sky Q - and those without Sky Q? Any hope?

That's what I was hoping. I'm in good old Sky + HD.
for the amount of money they must make from us each month you'd think they'd work harder to fix this- it's been weeks.

Mines still not working after trying everything posted on here, annoyingly I can download any programme on bbc1,2 ITV,channel 4, channel 5, but nothing on any sky channel whatsoever, are sky doing this on purpose so we have to upgrade to newer boxes(newer subscription prices)? I've had enough, could anybody give me a different solution to all the regular ones. Many thanks in advance,
