My old Sky+ HD DRX780UK circuit board failed, so I purched a replacement s/h box of the same model. To retain all the recordings from my old box, I swapped the hard drive over to the new box.
Since doing so, everything works OK with the new box playback/recording etc., however, a few of the old recordings from some SKY channels SKY1, SKY ARTS, SKY ARTS 1, ESPN Classic, SKY DOCUMENTARIES will not playback. Strange that more recent recordings from SKY ARTS play OK, as do all of the older BBC/ITV recordings.Newer recordings are OK.
I noticed that some of the old channels the recordings were made from are no longer available, but they did playback OK when the hard drive was in the old box.
Any ideas what is causing this?

Yes the new box has been paired with the viewing card.
Everything is working, as it should with the new box, receiving and playback of all subscribed to channels.
THe old ESPN Classic recordings just goes to a blue screen without any messages.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThat suggests that the recordings are linked not only to the Viewing Card but also to the box (serial no?) on which they were recorded. I can't remember whether or not that was actually the case, particularly for the older Sky+ boxes. If it is,, I don't think there's anything you can do to fix it.
