Sky + HD Boxs and Sky Viewing Card

I have 2 Sky + HD Boxs, the 1st is upstairs and the 2nd downstairs. The one upstairs, when I put the Viewing Card in the slot, the following show up:

There is a problem with your viewing card, ensure your Sky viewing card is correctly inserted.

After restarting the box without the card in, the same message shows up. 

Even updating the software, the message still shows up.

However, the box downstairs works.

The viewing card is paired with the box upstairs and after checking the system information, the viewing card number shows up, however the screen turns blue.

Just to clarify, as it's not clear from your post, have you got two viewing cards, one for each box, or are you trying to move the one card between boxes?

Just 1 card for each box.

You will need to call Sky and get them to activate it.

There's no harm in trying the 'New Install' process described in the video.

Note - The 'Full System Reset' process would delete all of your recordings from the box.

I did the "New Install" and the box is now working fine.

Sky+ boxes are obsolete and Sky do not naintain them any more
