I have a replacement sky box. I have followed the instructions for setting it up. It says that I need assistance. Please give me the assistance required

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs from the end of October, it's no longer possible to set up a replacement Sky+ box, as you cannot pair your Viewing Card with it. To continue receiving your subscription channels you would need to upgrade to Sky Q or SkyStream.

As @Mark39 indicates, unfortunately in this context all previous advice you'll find in this forum and elsewhere is now null and void: sourcing a second-hand Sky+ HD box to replace a failed unit is no longer viable.

Replacing the HDD may return your failed Sky+ HD to life ... although it is not easy for DRX890/895 boxes🙁
