My 90 year old uncle has a on old Sky Digibox, which unsurprisingly is starting to show it's age (especially the remote control).
I have a spare Sky+ HD that I would like to swap in, as my elderly uncle would be far more familiar with the UI and remote control, and would struggle with Sky Q.
Is it simply a case of replacing one with the other, and swapping the viewing card from the old to the new?
Will the viewing card from the Sky Digibox even work in the Sky HD+ box?
Is there a pairing process I need to follow?
Thanks in advance for any guidance provided.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAfter inserting his card into the replacement box do a New Install
If he only has one cable from the dish you'll need to put the box into single feed mode from the hidden installers menu (see my FAQ also)

If there's only one cable from the dish, connect it to dish input 1 and turn on Single Feed Mode in the Sky box Installer Menu.
