Recording not working

My SKY + box and controller seem to be working fine except when I try to record a new program the little red r does not appear and new programs do not record.  Programs which I had previously recorded I  continue to get the series recordings. 

Any ideas as to what the problem is and how to solve it. Thanks Tiqvah

Try a planner rebuild:


Press Services on your remote

Select Help

Select Sky+ Rebuild


This should take no longer than 10 minutes, don't do it if you are recording or due to start recording something.
