Problem with Sky +HD

When I record a program it just fails 

I get a message that says Sky +HD playback& recording unavailable. 
check sky viewing card is inserted. 
i donot have a card. 

Have sky just discontinued this service and not informed m

If you have a Sky subscription, you have a Viewing Card. On Sky+ boxes, it's behind a pull down flap at the front of the box.

 

You could try rebuilding your Planner, as explained in the help guide here: https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-tv/sky-tv-plus/sky-plus-watching-sky-tv/sky-plus-recordings/articl...

 

If you get a 'diskless mode' error message when you try rebuilding your Planner, the hard disk in your Sky box has failed.
