Not sure how that's relevant - when you have a MAJOR fault and aren't able to uniquely identify who is experiencing the fault, then an email to ALL customers who MAY be experiencing the fault is good customer service.
Perhaps they're worried about the press picking it up - maybe the press needs to be informed.

Has anyone with the issue tried using Sky Go as a temporary work-a-round whilst waiting for a fix?
I've had no problems accessing On demand (eg. QI XL and Jurassic Park: Dominion) recently using the TV from Sky app (Sky Go on Xbox)

@Annie+UKI'm using Sky Go to watch the likes of "Without A Trace" on Alibi (On Demand). I was previously downloading it from Sky+HD which now is not working for me. Sky Go is working perfectly on all channels (that I have used).
I'm watching Sky Go via the desktop app on my Laptop, connected via HDMI to my HD TV.

I have just installed Sky Go on my pc and can download programs with no issue that fail on my sky box. If choose to download to my pc it works, if I tell it download to my sky box in HD or SD it suffers the same issue.
So to me this completley rules out an ISP issue as my pc and sky box use the same static IP address that all devices on my network use externally.

Sky Go and the Sky box don't use the exact same route to get their content so we are not comparing like for like, Sky Go is streamed where Sky boxes are dowloading

Go gives the option to stream or to download. Both streaming and download works.

I don't get that option on my Xbox I can only stream 😞
I still doubt Sky Go and Sky boxes share the exact same download method

Having the same issues have you managed to sort yours out

Hi @Debbie+Lawrence . This is now day 13 of this issue and currently the only update from Sky is they are working on it. It maybe worth you contacting them on viewerR@sky.uk or completing the complaints form. There is a link on an earlier post on this thread. Just to add another voice. There are a few of us now so maybe if more people contact them it may help speed up the process to resolve the issue!

I agree. This is from my first post (page 3 of this thread):
I just checked again and the above still stands for us.

@MogwaiSatTV Yep, I've not got CGNAT, this has happened to a group of users with a certain machine at a certain time. Clearly whatever they changed did not include a roll back plan or they've screwed up a database. Or it's DNS 😉

Hi fellow download failure sky+ sufferers,
This doesn't make ANY sense to me because we can still download all BBC and ITV channels.
Do they download a different way than all Sky channels etc ?
Surely someone at Sky technical department can fix it?
12 Feb 2023 04:05 PM
I am wondering if the BBC and ITV stuff is hosted on BBC and ITV servers and everything else is on sky's servers
12 Feb 2023 04:10 PM
I believe there was an issue with downloads a year or so back due to Sky's ad server, which meant that BBC was unaffected. Not sure if this could be a variant of that.
Another issue I noted fairly regularly before this outright service failure was that some on demand content would only download up to the first ad break then fail. Usually hitting record again would make it resume the download.
