Old Sky + box randomly recording programs.

Weirdly since I spoke to sky to inform them I will not be renewing this year my sky+ box seems to be playing up. It randomly records programs and also the remote control sets recordings up when you push any buttons. I've put new batteries in it and even re booted the box. I'm out of ideas now as it's an old system that I have always used as never wanted sky q

Try a planner rebuild:

 

Press Services on your remote

Select Help

Select Sky+ Rebuild


This should take no longer than 10 minutes, don't do it if you are recording or due to start recording something.
