Our Sky works fine all day then early evening around the same time, if we try and change channels we get the 'No Satellite Signal click yellow button to fix' message.

Birds sitting in the arm of the dish, or the drop in temperature are possibilities?

Re: No Satellite Signal

Having ongoing issues with no satellite signal on my Sky+ box and the extra box - picture keeps breaking up and then just a temporary blue screen, we've checked all the cables tried restarting, reboot etc. but still having problems. It started 4 days ago after we had high winds. Can I  book an engineer please?

Re: No Satellite Signal

My box is constantly saying no satellite signal and the searching for listings bit at bottom of screen hasn't even got any channels showing and its displaying the completely wrong date and time

Then either the dish is misaligned or there is a hardware fault

Re: No Satelite Signal Message

I feel for you as I have same issue.  What annoys me is that it is only over the last 2 years that I have noticed this issue on my box.  So at the time I arranged a call for someone to come out who replaced the LNB box and also said that it is down to the number of trees I have around the property and then promptly tried to sell me a new dish and went up on the roof to find a better signal spot, only to come down and say we already had the best spot.  Now over the last 3 years lots of trees have been removed and yet the signal is worse and I keep losing signal and it cannot be down to either my equipment as it is all relatively new or the LNB box which is also new.  We pay for 3 sky boxes as we live in the middle of no-where and cannot get cable so we are tied in whether we like it or not and at the moment it is more not liking it than do.  I am getting annoyed over recordings I have made of series, only to go and start watching them to find 'Part Rec' due to loss of signal and sometimes it isn't even that bad.

Come on Sky what is going on as it is clearly not equipment in my case and don't say it is the trees either as the 100ft connifers that went all down the side of the neighbours house have been removed.  So if anything my signal should be better.  Plus the trees are over 70 metres away from where the dish is pointing so just how much input does that have.  I would call and engineer out that knows what they are talking about, but I know if I call sky, they just put the next aerial company on call to it.  They wait for aerial firms to bid for the work and pay them little so it is pot luck if you actually find someone.  Better off going on your own and paying directly.

SKY provide Terrible service/signal especially for the price customers who live in rural areas are paying.

@Lozzy64 there's  nothing going on. If you're  seeing no satellite signal messages, it's  because of a problem somewhere with your setup.

Sky have their own engineers. Give them a call to book one.

Or, if you prefer, look for an imdependent engineer.
