Need to update system

My tv is saying that I need to update the system, however it does not allow me to do so.

someone previoulsy told me to use my old remote but not sure now what exactly I need to do so grateful for any help please?

@Sandie5 there are no updates for Sky+ boxes - they're pretty much obsolete.

I imagine it's a message from your tv and all tvs are different, so best to consult your tv manual or contact the manufacturer's support.

It would be the remote control which came with the television set itself, not any kind of Sky handset.  Typically you'd use an 'OK' or similar button to accept the update.
