Usually the box comes up no signal but when I press TV Guide on the remote it takes me to the TV channels via HDMI 2. The remote is working but it won't accept the signal from the remote.

Do you mean the box won't come out of standby when you press the power button on your remote? Does the power LED on the front panel change from red/amber to green?
