My sky box

My sky box won't turn on but is making a whirrling

Sound have turned of mains left but get nothing am thinking of getting a sky a box but have no idea how much they are I pay £40 at moment been with sky since 2010

You will not be able to get a new Sky+ box from Sky as they have sold them for a long time now so if you go via Sky you would have to upgrade to Sky Q. If you buy one privately then go with a 890 or 895 model.

@Curvey39 Sky Q boxes are loaned to you, if that's what you're considering, so there's no purchase price. There may however, be a setup charge which you can probably negotiate away by speaking to Sky. If you don't already have the current base Signature package, you're probably paying over the odds already for Sky TV. I'd give Sky a call.
