My sky+ box turned off yesterday evening and it won't turn back on again, it keeps flashing the red and Amber light. What do I do

Try turning off at the plug for 5 minutes or so. If the power light continues to flash after the box is restarted, I'm afraid the box has probably  failed and will need to be replaced.

What you have described is usually due to a hardware failure and will most likely mean the box needs replacing

 

You can either upgrade to Sky Q or purchase a secondhand Sky+HD box
