Knowing my Sky box is very old and cannot remember our long I been member of Sky,

would it be possible to get Sky engineers to come to my home and and fix my sky box

Sky only send "engineers" for Sky Q an Sky Glass TV systems, you would need to contact a 3rd party to check your system

It might be cheaper to get a secondhand replacement box from somewhere like eBay

As stated Sky no longer support Sky+ box issues. You will either need to

purchase a new box from somewhere like eBay

upgrade to Sky Q or

employ a local satellite engineer to come and look at your set up

(if you have cover with Sky Protect through Domestic and General Insurance contact them).
