Missing recording

I have a recurring issue, solely with recording the formula 1! 
Today I recorded the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix (main race). I then watched 20minutes of it before sorting the kids out. 
when I came back, turned on sky, it was no longer there, and not in deleted recordings.

so where is it now?
