Lost connection to second tv

Managed to lose connection from sky box to second tv (no signal on second tv) Not sure where to put the cable as there are two ports on the sky box and also the cable has in and out on it! Tried both ports and cable set to in then out but still nothing...:don't see anywhere else to plug it into if indeed that's what connects it!

Thanks in advance

Ah yes, @Driver123456789

The lead from the SKY box needs to go to the input on your Splitter (& not to the TV).

One of the HDMI outputs from the splitter then needs to go to the main TV & I am assuming the other goes to your TV in the Kitchen

BTW TVs do not output any video via HDMI connections (just audio via an ARC labelled connection)

hi @Driver123456789

Where is your second TV - if it is in another room then it is highly likely that TV is connected via an RF cable (usually called Aerial) rather than the AV or Scart connectors you have pictured

On the SKy HD box this is usally plugged into the RF2 connection & the mnormal TV Aerial input on the TV

hi @Driver123456789

Looking at your 2nd picture again - have you switched over to SKY Q (the box on the top looks like  SKY Q)

If this is the case you cannot use your existing cables directly like you did with SKY HD

Re: Lost connection to second tv

Hi, the second tv is through the wall to the kitchen. I have a sky Q box but do not see where an ariel would fit. Everything was working perfectly on both tvs until this no signal message. I am ignoring the scary cable now as was a red herring! Thanks for taking time to reply

@Driver123456789  Sky Q boxes do not have RF inputs/outputs, the original aerial cable from the Sky+ box setup should still be behind your unit and should allow you to simply put both ends together as one will be a male connector and the other a female connector

In which case when you say it was working perfectly was this after you got SKY Q and were you just using it to watch Freeview TV (i.e. no SKY or other Satellite channels) ?

Hi, again just for clarity, on the second TV (in the kitchen) you used to get the full Sky Q interface/menu's etc?
