Loss of some sky programmes

Can get a few Sky channels and usually able to get the screen with the channels menu/catch up etc., but on some channels the message no signal. The wi fuvis working on my iPad but tv says no signal.

also it 'jumps' suddenly from a tv programme to the screen showing Options for Netflix/U tube etc.,

Have plugged jn a different tv set to see if problem is tv set or Sky and it seems to be Sky ...maybe dish is damaged? Both fish and sky box are not new.

See question Q23 in my Sky Plus F⋅A⋅Q for No Satellite Signal

"No Satellite Signal" is an error generated by your Sky box, it has nothing to do with broadband (Internet connectivity) and usually indicates an issue with one or more of the following

  • The Dish is misaligned (not all transponders are getting through, thus some channels may be affected and others not)
  • The Tuners in the sky box
  • The input sockets on the Sky box
  • The plugs on the cables
  • The cables themselves
  • The Sockets on the dishes LNB
  • The dishes LNB has gone faulty for the connections the box is using
  • You have plugged your Sky+ box into a dish that is only compatible with Sky Q

Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy/obsolete service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Glass and/or Sky Stream

You may have to call out a local satellite installer ( at your own expense ), unless you already have Sky Protect insurance, to check/fix your system, another option is to move to Sky Glass and/or Sky Stream (self-install, no engineer required)

Help neededplease

Don't Sky have engineers/repair technicians we can talk to and who come out and fix Sky if necessary? I phoned and got directed to a forum where one can post a messsge about the problem in the hope that other customers will send a helpful answer.

There are Customer Service agents if you call Sky. There are Sky engineers who visit for Sky Q issues to try to solve an issue once one is arranged. A visit can't be arranged here.

Thats quite normal, in the hope it saves you waiting on a call to Customer Services.

@Annoyed266

I've just seen your other post on the Sky+ board. Sky+ set ups are no longer supported by engineer visits.

Your posts have been merged together. You need to confirm if you have Sky+ or Sky Q.

OP mentions Netflix and YouTube, so I'm assuming Sky Q
