Loss of Certain Channels on Sky+HD Box
So yesterday, I lost all ITV channels, Channel 5 and certain others. All BBC channels, all Sky channels and Channel 4 are perfect reception!
Have re-started my Sky+HD box twice but problem not resolved. Have checked the two signals from my dish and both good and working properly. Any thoughts welcomed. Thanks

Re: Loss of Certain Channels on Sky+HD Box
It does sound like it's potentially a dish / LNB issue.
I'm afraid Sky no longer support Sky+ and Sky+HD set ups. You'll need to employ a local satellite engineer at your own expense to check/repair/replace the dish/LNB if that's the problem.
If you have Sky Protect insurance through Domestic and General Insurance you can call them but a recent post on here stated they wouldn't send an engineer - but they did offer the customer £65 towards arranging one themselves.
The alternative is contacting Sky to upgrade to Sky Q or change to Glass / Stream.

@Frustrated40 to check whether you have a good signal, first tune to one of the affected channels. Then key Services>Settings.>Signal on your remote. The white part of all four bars must be at least half way across.
From your post, I suspect two of the four bars will be mainly, if not all, blue.

Thanks Mark - just checked that and when on ITV channels there is no signal showing at all for Signal Input one - so looks like an LNB problem

Possibly, but I suspect more likely an alignment or cabling issue.

With the box switched off, swap over the two satellite cables in the back of box. Then repeat the test above to see if the same channels are affected.
